Atlanta, Georgia – May 24, 2025 – 11 Blocks To Go: The Bet is coming to the South! The indie comedy that’s been zig-zagging across the globe is about to hit the big screen at the Funny AF Film Festival's Fiction Fest, held at the Limelight Theater in Atlanta. Catch us Saturday, May 24th at 10am as part of the Comedy Block.

Birthed from the creative chaos of co-writers Ashley Alexander and Jack Utrata, and directed by Nathaniel P. Claridad, 11 Blocks To Go: The Bet has emerged as a queer proof-of-concept comedy rooted in friendship, chaos, and survival. The film follows Samantha (Alexander), a romantic with poor timing, as she stumbles upon her best friend Drew (Utrata) mid-orgy, again ditching his promises in spectacular fashion. With Cody Leroy Wilson rounding out the cast as “Gray,” the film is both gut-busting and gut-punching, exploring queer intimacy with honesty and humor.

After kicking off its run with an international debut at the Pride Vision Film Festival in Prague, the film has since racked up over 15 official selections and multiple awards — including Best Short Film in both Toronto and Prague, Audience Choice in London, and Best LGBTQ+ Short in India.

The Funny AF Film Festival is a vibrant new platform that celebrates sharp writing, comedic timing, and brave new voices. We’re honored to be a part of this year’s lineup — and especially proud to bring 11 Blocks To Go to Georgia, a state with its own wild and wonderful ties to queer culture and indie film.
